Great success of the launch event of the book "L'Estro del Gusto. Giuseppe Maglione, Artista della Pizza Sostenibile" edited by Apeiron Edizioni (Naples, 2019), curated by the sustainable art critic Marco Eugenio Di Giandomenico

Thursday 7 November 2019, 3.00 pm - 4.30 pm, the ARD&NT Institute (Brera Academy of Fine Arts and Milan Polytechnic) (www.ardent-institute.it) and the ETHICANDO Association (www.ethicando.it ), at the Church of San Carpoforo of the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, at 14, Marco Formentini street in Milan, organize an event on the dialogue between the creative languages ​​of contemporary art in the era of new technologies, with a focus on food (especially pizza) and music.
Two case histories of excellence selected for the event.
The pizza Neapolitan artist, Giuseppe Maglione, owner of Daniele Gourmet in Avellino, grandson of Anna Daniele (who in 1965 inaugurated a famous pizzeria in the center of Naples), today among the best creative expressions of the culinary art. His pizzas use the best ingredients of Irpinia, becoming an instrument of territorial enhancement, as well as other products of excellence made in Italy (flour and others), acquiring an aesthetic connotation so to speak "sustainable", both for the Beauty of gastronomic artifacts in themselves, both for social messages (defense of women's rights, promotion of peace, etc.).
The Molino Pasini company from Mantua, represented by Gianluca Pasini, with almost one hundred years of history, which has been able to interpret the values ​​and konw-how of the ancient millers in the age of new technologies, with a wise selection of grains and others raw materials, enhancing a multi-millennial Italian artisan heritage of the art of flour that represents one of the best expressions of made in Italy in the world.
The event also includes the musical performance of a talented student of the SOUNDART master of the ARD&NT Institute, Mariusphere, who performs some pieces using a piano "set" for the occasion, with kitchen utensils inserted between the strings, producing loudness and rhythmic suggestions in creative dialogue with the art of food, the cultural leitmotiv of the initiative.
During the event is presented the book "L’estro del Gusto. Giuseppe Maglione, artista della pizza sostenibile", edited by Apeiron Edizioni (Naples, 2019), curated by the sustainable art critic Marco Eugenio Di Giandomenico, in which also participate as authors Gianluca Festa (Mayor of the Municipality of Avellino), Pasquale Giuditta ( formerly Director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Responsible for relations with UNESCO), Roberto Favaro (Professor of History of Music and deputy director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera), Roberto Rosso (Professor of Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts di Brera), Filippo Cannata (lighting designer).
The initiative is promoted by the communication platform Betting On Italy (BOI), which divulges the artistic and cultural initiatives of greater social development.
